Groceries: Check Toilet Paper: Check Chores: Check
Punching Cancer In The FACE: CHECK!!
While celebration feels like it falls a little flat due to Coronavirus, I am sooooo glad to be done with cancer treatments! Surgery, 4 long months of chemo, 1 1/2 months of radiation, lots of loss and restriction…It is finished!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the love, support, cards, gifts, food, hugs, etc. I absolutely love my people. My plan all along was to throw a big “No One Fights Alone” party so I could celebrate YOU and the end of the longest fight… But, alas, we would likely be arrested for the lack of social distance because you best believe I’d be giving out hugs like they were toilet paper if I could!
Also, it turns out I love to write! This has been a great way for me to process and I believe sharing our stories and being transparent with one another breaks down a lot of walls and brings a lot of healing. That being said, I’m going to move all of this verbage over to a new blogsite. It’s not up and running yet, but I plan to do a couple more updates here on Caring Bridge (I didn’t get much closure with Doc due to Coronavirus restrictions at the hospital and will have a follow up appt, possibly by phone.) I will fill you in on the new website, in case you are interested, here, once it’s up and running along with an update after visiting with Dr. Chance, Radiation Oncologist extraordinaire.
But for right now, I’m going to take a celebratory chewable vitamin C tab. BECAUSE I CAN!
