Fun Fact Friday!

Fun Fact Friday!

At least I think it’s Friday… CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS? I’ve lost track of all time and space.

I don’t have anything super deep today, just a few fun facts:

Fact #1- I’m very grateful for the food delivery service I use, Imperfect Foods. It has been SUCH a relief to have this delivered to my door and I want to thank the company and the delivery team for the important work they do! The idea behind the company is to cut down food waste by offering food that would otherwise be thrown out due to imperfections, surplus, mistakes on the labeling (such as the barcode), etc. AND, now that I’m allowed to juice again, I’m so thankful for the fresh produce! (And, maybe it’s just me, but is anyone else hyper-aware of food waste these days?) Here is my favorite item of this week’s delivery:

Fact #2– I am extremely out of shape and have a long way to go in the yoga world, and THAT’S OK! Instagram and other social media would have you believe you must be a size zero, look like a model and be a bendy pretzel in order to participate in one of the most beneficial forms of exercise available. Yoga is for EVERYbody. Including ones that have been slashed, poisoned and burned like mine. Here is how “close” I am to touching my toes, currently:

As Megan gets her groove back, she will move closer and closer to her toes. Will she ever touch them? We’ll see! I plan to love my body enough to continue my practice regularly and if you feel so inclined to try, even just this for a few minutes a day, I’d love to see your progress and I’ll show you mine! 🙂

Fact #3– Not all lumps are cancerous! 80{dad32a684cef75a53e05457ff3384b9b969f36c46c4b617883f7af3c20f4b3ec} of lumps found in women’s breasts are benign. BUT, all lumps should be examined by a doctor. And don’t drag your feet about it. Ignoring does not make a problem disappear… It can potentially make it worse. Your body works hard for you. Show it some respect and love!

So there are 3 Fun Facts on this day that I believe is Friday? Either way, stay home, stay healthy. Try to move your body some, try to keep your mind sharp and learn something, and crack a window open to keep that fresh air flowing through you!
